Whole Foods (Devon) is supporting
T&E Care again! Nickels for Non-Profits Program
January 18, 2016 - April 10, 2016
Exciting news! T&E Care is again one of the non-profits to be recognized by the Devon Whole Foods for their Nickels for Non-Profits Program. This program allows customers to donate their 5¢ bag refund to local nonprofit organizations instead of receiving it themselves. If you shop at Whole Foods, and you bring your own bags, then PLEASE BE SURE TO MENTION T&E CARE WHEN YOU CHECK OUT! If you don't say anything, then we won't get your nickel! A year ago when we received this recognition we received almost $1000 from Whole Foods - so those nickels really do add up!!! Thanks again to Whole Foods for selecting us for this program! Happy shopping!

Main Line Unitarian Church Supports T&E Care
Every month the Main Line Unitarian Church in Devon shares 1/2 its collection plate with an organization. In October 2015 T&E Care was the recipient of those collections. We are honored to say that we recently received this donation - and wow - what a great effort on their part! Over $2000 was given to us to help with our mission of working with local families. Morgan McLean, associate pastor at MLUC presented the check to T&E Care representatives at the recent T&E Care Holiday Drive sorting day. Accepting the check were Karen Ridder, Allyson Hotz, Sandi Gorman, Jo Howarth, and Lisa Christy.
Turkey Burn with Mojo Fitness
A Great Success for T&E Care
Saturday, November 28, 9:30
Again this year Mojo Fitness did a Thanksgiving Turkey Burn as a fundraiser for the T&E Care Holiday Drive. It was a HUGE success! Reports are that lots of folks came, and lots of pounds were shed! The cost was $10/person and all ages and levels of fitness were welcome! The event was held in the Delaware Valley Friends School gym, on East Central Rd, in Paoli. MANY MANY thanks to Cindy Brauer for organizing this exciting event!
Mojo Fitness combines great music with fun fitness-focused moves to get a total body workout. As a result, every Mojo experience is more like a dance club experience than a dance class. For more details, go to mojofitness.biz.

Jennifer On The Avenue (Berwyn) once again supported T&E Cae with a shopping day on Monday, December 7, 2015. Jennifer donated 10% of sales that day to T&E Care. We appreciate everyone who took this opportunity to get some great gifts - including clothing, accessories, and many stocking stuffers. Thanks again to Jennifer On The Avenue for it's continued support of T&E Care!
Thanks for your support!
Were you looking for alternatives to mall-shopping this holiday season? Wondering what to give Uncle Bob instead of one more necktie? Want your purchases to make a difference in the world? Hopefully you went to the Alternative Gift Market, where you could find unique hand-made and fair-trade gifts for everyone on your list, and your purchases will help people in need, both locally and around the world!
The market was held on Nov 14 and 15 at the Baptist Church in the Great Valley, located at 945 North Valley Forge Road in Devon. Proceeds will benefit T&E Care!
This 4th annual Alternative Gift Market was co-organized by two churches (United Church of Christ at Valley Forge and Baptist Church in the Great Valley). For more details go to bcgv.org or to their Facebook page!
SPECIAL NEEDS FOR LOCAL FAMILIES
If you have the ability to help with any of these VERY important needs for a few of our local families - please let us know. The power of "community" can often make the impossible possible!
With our computer refurbishing program, we could use a few printers. If you have a printer that works fine but you no longer need, let us know. It can’t be more than 4 years old, and must use the type of ink that can be purchased in a store (not just online). No laser printers.
We also need laptops!!!! PLEASE if you have a laptop that you think will still work well but you need to upgrade - let us know and we'll look at the old laptop! Thanks!
We also need computer mice - for desktops or laptops. We prefer the type that are plugged in with USB ports as opposed to wireless mice that need continual battery replacements! If you have any extra mice - let us know!
If you can help out with anything requested in the section above - please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. THANKS!
T&E Care and Amazon Smile T&E Care is now part of the Amazon Smile Foundation program. You might have shopped on Amazon.com and seen a notice to "click here" for a portion of your bill to go to a charity of your choice. This is just like the old Genuardi program that some of you might remember. You pay $xxx for a product. 0.5% of that price then goes to your designated charity. If you didn't designate a charity, Amazon would just keep the 0.5%. Your cost does NOT increase if you designate a charity!
So.... if you are an online shopper and Amazon is one of your go-to sites, please consider naming T&E Care as your charity of choice. It's easy to do but you need to register in advance (one time only):
Be sure you are signed into your own Amazon account.
Name your charity of choice: Tredyffrin & Easttown Care
That's it! It takes 30 seconds to do! You only need to name us once, and then we are the named site from then on. From then on always go to www.smile.amazon.com to start your shopping (instead of amazon.com) and it will always register this charity. (If you forget you'll get a notice reminding you when you go to amazon.com!)
This type of donation can really add up if lots of people sign up! Many thanks for your support!

Making a donation to T&E Care in lieu of a gift
Are you struggling to think of the perfect gift for the person on your list who has everything? Consider making a donation to T&E Care in his/her name? This option is always available - at the holidays or anytime of year. Information on making donations to honor others can be found on our donations page. A letter will be sent to your recipient alerting them of your kind donation (or we can send a card to you for you to wrap and give yourself).
Thanks for considering this option.
