T&E Care is Partnering with Whole Foods in Devon! Nickels for Non-Profits
Did you know that Whole Foods Market gives customers a 5-cent refund for bringing their own shopping bags? Did you also know that it has a program where customers can donate that refund to local nonprofit organizations instead of receiving it themselves? From October 1, 2014 through January 18, 2015, T&E Care will be one of the non-profits recognized by the Devon Whole Foods for this program! If you are a customer who reuses bags to help the recycling effort, consider donating your refund to T&E Care whenever you shop at Whole Foods. (For us to get the refund - you MUST tell the clerk at check-out to refund T&E Care.)
Additionally - a bin will be at Whole Foods during our Holiday Drive. If you are in the store and want to buy anything extra that we could use for the drive - you can put the items in the bins.
Many thanks to Whole Foods for selecting us for this program!

So we need more donated towers and laptops. They MUST be able to handle Windows 7 or greater. Please let us know ASAP if you have some to donate. 3/30/14 - A number of folks have asked for loft beds - as space is at a premium! If you have one to offer, let us know!

Wilson Farm Park Birthday Party T&E Care was proud to be part of the September 27, 2014 birthday party at Wilson Farm Park. We enjoyed the chance to meet lots of nice community members, and are hopeful that many will become part of our "family". Special thanks to Hal Ward and Theresa Augustine for organizing our volunteers, to Debbie Weger and Nancy Higgins for helping out, and to Hailey, Kathryn, and Rachel from the T&E Kids Care Club at CHS for coming and doing a bake sale at our table. It was a fun (and VERY beautiful) day for all.
Society of Professional Women and T&E Care On September 18, 2014 T&E Care was the featured charity at a luncheon of the Society of Professional Women. We are very thankful to Eileen Connolly-Robbins for arranging this recognition for us, and to all those who came to the lunch and learned about T&E Care. We were thrilled to share our story with them. Special thanks to Wells Fargo for offering us a $1000 donation for our efforts. More details can be found HERE. Pictures of the event are below.

T&E Care and Amazon Smile T&E Care is now part of the Amazon Smile Foundation program. You might have shopped on Amazon.com and seen a notice to "click here" for a portion of your bill to go to a charity of your choice. This is just like the old Genuardi program that some of you might remember. You pay $xxx for a product. 0.5% of that price then goes to your designated charity. If you didn't designate a charity, Amazon would just keep the 0.5%. Your cost does NOT increase if you designate a charity!
So.... if you are an online shopper and Amazon is one of your go-to sites, please consider naming T&E Care as your charity of choice. It's easy to do but you need to register in advance (one time only):
Be sure you are signed into your own Amazon account.
Name your charity of choice: Tredyffrin & Easttown Care
That's it! It takes 30 seconds to do! You only need to name us once, and then we are the named site from then on. From then on always go to www.smile.amazon.com to start your shopping (instead of amazon.com) and it will always register this charity. (If you forget you'll get a notice reminding you when you go to amazon.com!)
This type of donation can really add up if lots of people sign up! Many thanks for your support!

T&E Care Is Able to Accept Donations of Stock Starting in July 2013 T&E Care is set up to be able to accept donations of stock. Giving long-term (owned more than a year), appreciated securities may provide a great benefit to you and Tredyffrin & Easttown Care. First, you will receive a tax deduction for the full market value of the securities as long as you have owned them for at least one year. Second, you avoid the capital gains tax that you would owe if you sold these securities. See more information about donating securities, by clicking on the certificate on the right.
Click HERE for more information on donating stock to T&E Care.
Making a donation to T&E Care in lieu of a gift
Are you struggling to think of the perfect gift for the person on your list who has everything? Consider making a donation to T&E Care in his/her name? This option is always available - at the holidays or anytime of year. Information on making donations to honor others can be found on our donations page. A letter will be sent to your recipient alerting them of your kind donation (or we can send a card to you for you to wrap and give yourself).
Thanks for considering this option.
Many THANKS for the recent donations ....
October 2014 - Over the past few weeks a whole group of local businesses gathered together to help a local family do some improvements to their home. The before and after pictures are AMAZING! We can't say thanks enough to Stacey Ballard of Eadeh Enterprises for coordinating this project. Also helping out were J&L Building Supply, Arader Landscaping, Sherwin William Paints, O'Rourke Steel, Keith Martin Electric and J. Buccarelli Concrete Contractors. Everyone donated their time to do the work and many materials were donated or available at cost. It's likely that over $10,000 worth of work was done to this house, including all new windows, much tree work, painting, some electric work, and new steps. A project of this type is done annually through Eadeh Enterprises' "Neighbors Helping Neighbors Build Better Warmer and Safer", in memory of Ernest Eadeh who loved his community and took pride in making it better and safer. T&E Care was proud to be part of this amazing project and thank those companies who made such a difference for a local family.
October 2014 - T&E Care recently hosted the Upper Mainline Ministerium luncheon - a monthly event that takes turns around the area. Thanks to Barbara McConnell, Kris Graham, Cathy Arpa, and Anne Sprissler for helping out with this event.

June 2014 - Last month the Girl Scout Troop 4161 from VFES put together 16 birthday bags that we were able to hand out to local families. These bags are filled with the supplies needed to hold a birthday party - cake mix, candles, plates, napkins, and all sorts of other goodies! Many thanks to the girls and leader Jenni DiMaio for their efforts!!
June 2014 - The VFMS PTO ran a fund raiser earlier this year and Trish McFillin, chair of the event, used some of the funds to get extra tickets to Hershey Park. We handed these out to 10 local families who were all thrilled to have this special event available this summer!

March 2014 - The Grab Bag is over and many folks deserve our thanks for helping out. But a HUGE shout out again goes to St. Matthew's United Methodist Church for hosting the event again this year. The church is the most amazing host site - we just can't say enough thanks!
