AARP offers free 2011 Tax Year Preparation
Besides
it being the law, there are many advantages available when you have
submitted your taxes as required. For example, many government
assistance programs require you to prove that you filed a tax return. If your kids are in college you need tax returns to complete FAFSA applications. The deadline to file this year is April 17, 2012.
You can file your taxes online at www.irs.gov/efile/index.html. Online filing is free, reduces the risk of making a mistake and lets you track your refund and get your refund more quickly. (You can check your refund online 72 hours after the IRS receives your information.)
Don't pay an outside company to help you take care of this job when you
can get free help right here in our community!
