We are always thankful for everyone's support - but we wanted to let you know that the families we help are thankful as well!  This is a note we received after we helped a family.  We get these types of notes all the time! They are meant for ALL OF YOU!!!

I would like to take a moment and thank each and every one of you for your care and help at a time of struggle.  I felt that I needed to send this email to say Thank You  and if at all I can do anything I will surely try.  Once again thank-you for getting me through this tough time. Me and my children.  May, 2009

MANY MANY THANKS TO ....

Thanks for recent donations are listed on the homepage. Additionally we'd like to say thanks for the following donations:

  • 10/24/11 - Thanks to Steve's Sewing, Vacuum & Quilting (King of Prussia) for donating a gift card to a family who lost their sewing machine.  We were able to get a donated machine from a community member, but this gift card will help replace some of the supplies needed.
  • 9/26/11 - Hats off to the Devon Elementary School PTO for their recent donation to T&E Care.  How wonderful when the PTOs can support our many efforts!
  • 9/18/11 - Many thanks to the families from the Trinty Presbyterian Vacation Bible School for taking up a collection this summer for T&E Care.  We received the donation at the church service on the 18th, and really appreciate their support of our efforts!
  • 8/3/11 - Thanks to Comcast Spectacor Foundation for their recent donation to T&E Care.  In talking with the foundation about our programs, especially our summer camp program, they felt that this fit into their mission of fun for the local kids.  We greatly appreciate their support.
  • 7/12/11 - Hats off to the many families who participated in the Wayne Presbyterian Church Vacation Bible School collection called "Across the street and Around the world".  Monies were collected during the week of camp to be divided between T&E Care and an orphanage in Ethiopia. We were thrilled to be included in this special drive and thank all those who made donations.
  • 7/11/11 - Much appreciation to Citizens Bank Foundation for giving us a grant to be used to help with rent and utility assistance to local families.  It's great to know that the local banks are willing to support this important initiative!
  • 7/5/11 - Thanks to the Elizabeth Robinson for her efforts in writing a grant to the Connelly Foundation, and to that foundation for awarding us with some assistance in our various efforts to help local families!  A terrific partnership!
  • 6/25/11 - We learned that T&E Kids Care (at CHS club) did fundraisers during the year, and have sent us $500 to help with our various projects.  How great is that!  Many thanks to the whole CHS student body and staff for supporting the many club fundraisers - and to the T&E Kids Care participants for their ongoing efforts on behalf of so many local families!
  • 6/21/11 - WOW - the local T/E teachers did it again!  Today was the TEEA walk for T&E Care and FLITE.  The teachers who participated in the walk were one very enthusiastic group!  Those teachers and many others made donations which will be divided for both T&E Care and FLITE - and this extra support will certainly be put to good use!  Many thanks to the TEEA!
  • 6/19/11 - A "regular" supporter of T&E Care - Play It Again Sports in Berwyn - has been wonderful again!  One of the kids taking advantage of our Camp Assistance Program needed a tennis racquet, and the family was able to get one from Play It Again for free.  Thanks so much for their continued help to local families!
  • 5/3/11 - 2 of our great volunteers are the guys who help us with our computers.  Joe Bolmarcich does the refurbishing for all our donated computers.  Bruce Gibbard helps set up the new laptops we give to seniors going to college.  We are so very thankful tothese 2 community members for sharing their incredible talents to help out so many people.
  • 4/1/11 - Hats off to Pete at Pete's Auto Service in Malvern for helping with a recent car repair for a local family.  Pete offered a great discount in making a signficant repair for this car - enabling the family to get the car fixed and get back to their jobs.   Thanks to Pete for being part of our T&E Care Car group!'
  • 1/25/11 - Members of St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church (Devon) have again blessed our organization by choosing T&E Care in the Alternative Gift Program last December.  Thanks to all those at St. Luke's!
  • The weekend of January 22/23  a large group of community members came together to help out some local families in need.  We had 3 different people offering furniture (one was a significant amount!), and 9 different families needing furniture.  We were able to find 8 different folks with trucks wiling to help move the furniture, and a number of the members and the coach of the CHS Ice Hockey Team plus a few other CHS students offered their muscles - and we were able to make the move much quicker than anyone thought.  Many many thanks to all those who helped out - the families receiving the furniture were THRILLED and very thankful for our help.    Two notes that we received stated:
    • THANK YOU T & E cares!  I cannot thank you enough for the perpetual kindness that you show towards my family and me.  My entire experience w/ T & E cares has been both humbling and amazing.  Not only are you responsive to my concerns, but proactive as well.
    • In response to today, my children said "TE cares and these guys 'Rock'!"   Although my husband was at work when the gentlemen came to our home, I know we both concur with our children's sentiment.  Please again thank your "moving gentlemen" for their helpfulness and pleasant attitude.  Not only did they remove our broken floor model TV, but a couple of the younger gentlemen complimented my children on their bunkbeds (they have a homemade tent over their bed for fun).  That made my children smile, and feel good. Again, we sincerely thank you.  Please consider how we can be helpful...now or later.  I continue to pray Gods fullest blessings on you, and yours.  Have a great night, and a wonderful week!
    •  I really appreciate your help and generosity by giving us a bookcase and the dresser, in cold day you delivering to the community what they need... IT IS ACT OF LOVE AND BLESSING FROM GOD - THANK YOU VERY MUCH - WITH ALL MY RESPECTS

  • 12/18/10 - Fox & Roach Charities came through again with another incredible donation to T&E Care.  Our many thanks for their continued generosity and support!
  • 12/1/10 - A giant thanks to Peter Zimmerman Architects (Berwyn) and The Wenzinger Family (Wynnewood) for offering tickets to the Pennyslvania Ballet's The Nutcracker to 3 local families.  It was a dream come true for these families - what a special holiday surprise for them!

  • 11/15/10 - A big shout-out to George Shoffner and Kristin Thies at Lewis, Shoffner & Co (King of Prussia) for again this year preparing a review of our financial statements at no cost to us.  This generous offer of assistance saves us much money that we can instead use to help families.  George and Kristin are really terrific people!
  • 11/13/10 - Special thanks to Johnson Matthey for their donation to be used to help cover the cost of some of the food purchased for the Thanksgiving dinners T&E Care will be preparing (in conjunction with The Kitchen Workshop) for eight local families.  Johnson Matthey has proven over and over what it takes to be a great community contributor!
  • 11/10/10 - Once again the 5K run in memory of Tyler Hedges proved to be a huge success.  Many thanks to the organizers of that program for again choosing T&E Care to receive a portion of the funds raised at the event.  These funds will be put toward the summer camp program organized by T&E Care.
  • 11/9/10 - The Saturday Club awarded T&E Care a grant to be used to help fund their School Meal Assistance Program.  MANY thanks to this great community organization for this important support!
  • 10/25/10 - Blank Rome LLP made an incredible donation of 25 computers to T&E Care - we are in the process of getting them ready to be sent out to area homes - this should really make a dent in the problem some families have related to computer access!  (Now if we could just solve that internet problem as well!)  Thanks to Larry Liss for organizing this fantastic donation!
  • 10/16/10 - The Good Sports of Wayne came through again.  Even though they didn't hold a party this year, they gathered donations and gave a surprise gift to T&E Care!  What a huge help this donation will be as we continue to work to assist local families!

  • 6/26/10 - A shout out to the VFMS 8th grade gifted leadership students, who raised money through various fund raisers this year, and donated the funds to T&E Care.  It's programs like this that make it possible for us to help out local families in need!
  • 6/25/10 - a very special thanks to the 2010 CHS Parent Organization for making a donation to T&E Care in honor on their Class Chair, Martha Thomson.  The Thomson's have been big supporters of T&E Care, and the parents wanted to thank her for her efforts with them by making this donation to our organization.
  • 6/11/10 - thanks to T&E Kids Care - the local CHS club that also helps support local families in need.  They recently made a $500 donation to our organization that will be used to support a local family.  Great job!
  • 6/9/10 - The 4th-6th grade youth group at St. Luke's Lutheran Church recently did some fund raising and turned the funds over to T&E Care.  The funds will be helpful in our efforts to fund summer camps for local kids who can't afford to go on their own.  Many thanks to this terrific effort by these kids and their leaders.
  • 6/7/10 - Kudos to a local dentist for doing a free root canal on a local mom who was really in pain.  Dr. Ron Garinger (Paoli) went above and beyond in helping out this mom!  THANKS!
  • 5/21/10 - On May 20 the TEEA (TESD teacher union) ran the 2nd annual TEEA Trek for FLITE and T&E Care - a fund raiser that the TESD staff run for our two organizations.  Just like last year - the TEEA matched the donations raised during this event.  It was a gorgeous day and those who participated in the walk at Wilson Park enjoyed the exercise - all for a good cause.  Many many thanks to the staff for stepping up (pun intended) and helping out!  No wonder this district is so fantastic - the teachers are incredible!
  • 5/11/10 - Thanks to Whole Foods (Devon) for the donation of a $100 gift card to be used for a local family in need.  There are always people we know who can use some help getting food!
  • 5/10/10 - Incredible thanks to Greg and Ali Dahms and Ali's parents Dan and Candy Kane for hosting a party on behalf of T&E Care.  The proceeds raised at the event will go a long way to helping some local families.  Many thanks to all those who attended and made the donations!
  • 4/21/10 - A shout out to the students, staff, and parents of New Eagle Elementary School for their efforts at a recent one mile FUN RUN!  They raised money in this event for charities, and T&E Care was one of the recipients.  We were overwhelmed at the amount of money raised - thanks so much for thinking to include us in this event!
  • 4/20/10 - Special thanks to the Conestoga High School Student Council for their recent donation to T&E Care.  We received the nicest note from them (written by the President of the Student Council) along with this donation.  One part of the letter read:  "The other executive officers and I are extremely impressed with your contributions to the community.  Because the Main Line is considered a wealthy area, I think many people look past the fact that individuals and families struggle.  Your efforts are the answers to their wishes.  We truly commend you for everything you do."  This letter was written to all of you!!!!
  • 3/15/10 - Thanks again to St. Luke Lutheran Church for donating a car to a local family.  This family is so excited to have this new means of transportation!
  • February/March 2010 - Many thanks for the huge efforts of many groups in helping the families effected by the recent Strafford Station Apartment Fires.  With the risk of leaving names off this list - a special shout out to the lead churches: St. Lukes Lutheran Church, Main Line Unitarian Church, Valley Friends Meeting, United Methodist Church of Paoli, St. John's Presbyterian Church, Our Lady of the Assumption Church,  Trinity Presbyterian Church,  and St. David's Episcopal Church.  Other groups who helped include:  Community Backstop, Lori Liberatore at the Strafford Station Apartments, Christopher's Restaurant, Hillside Girl Scout Troop #4038, Jenkins Arboretum, St. Norbert's Catholic Church, the Conestoga Boys Basketball Team, Knights of Columbus, and Mattress Giant and Bed Bath and Beyond.  What a great community effort in helping with this terrible situation!

  • January 2010 - Many thanks to 4 members of the Conestoga HS Ice Hockey Team who recently gave up a few hours to help move the T&E Care computers from our old location at the ESC to our new location by TEMS.  We had 6 carloads of things to move - computers, monitors, keyboards, mice, cords, tables, chairs, etc. that needed to be moved.  We couldn't have done it without the assistance of these boys.  Thanks to Brody Shea, Cal Bailey, Tim Lopez, and Chris Kupp. (And thanks to the school district for finding us a corner in the basement of the Network Operations Center where we can do the refurbishing work that is needed for our computer program.)
  • December 2009 - Much appreciation to the members of St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church for their support of T&E Care in the recent alternative gift program run in December.  We really appreciate being included on that list, and were overwhelmed when the results of this program were sent to us.
  • C&J Auto Repair in Berwyn helped a local family with much needed car repairs in December.  They reduced the cost of their service, and then asked patrons to help with donations.  Many thanks for their efforts and to those who made these donations.

  • November 2009 - Many many thanks to the Main Line Unitarian Church members for giving 1/2 their November collections to T&E Care.  These funds will be used to help with upcoming utility bill payments - something we know will be hard for families during the cold winter months.
  • A special shout-out to the employees of the corporate office of Jefferson Health System in Radnor for their generous donations to our Educational Fund - which supports kids needing help with educational expenses (college tuition, books, SAT prep classes, etc). • 7/13/09 - Many many thanks to members of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Devon for donating food to fill about 100 bags of groceries (especially lunch items) to the local REACT pantry.  This gesture was done in response to the fact that (during the school year) so many kids get free lunch through the federal free/reduced lunch program but during the summer that program is not in existence.  With families needing to buy additional lunch items - their food bills significantly increase.  Thanks to Sean Moir and Carol Reilly for spearheading this effort.
  • 7/12/09 - We recently asked for a number of furniture and clothing items for numerous families needing assistance.  On July 11 - about 8 people gave up their Saturday morning and drove around to dozens of families who offered a couch here, a chair there.... and then delivered the items to the families.  What a great example of coming together to get something positive done!    One mom that received our help sent this email of thanks that is truly from her heart: Please pass this along to all that have helped and donated their time and items to us. We are extremely appreciative for all that everyone has done for us. You are truly God's angels. You make me us better people. I find myself trying to pass along the kindness to others by doing simple acts of kindness. It is becoming so natural now. I see it in how I act towards my neighbors and co workers I only hope one day I can be as giving of myself to others, as you have been to us. My family truly thanks you. It is a blessing to have you all in our lives. God bless you all.
  • 7/12/09 - In that same email we also asked for financial assistance - and wow - we've had such a great response.  We hope we're in great shape now to meet our upcoming requests for the next few months or beyond.  Thanks to sooooo many of you!
  • 7/1/09 - Thanks to Katie Sainsbury - another young resident in our community that asked for donations to T&E Care instead of presents for her 5th birthday.  She received over $700 in donations - wow!  Many thanks Katie!!!!  These kids are amazing!
  • 8/10/09 - Many thanks to Bob Lopes and AON Corporation of Philadelphia for donating 30 laptops FLITE, who in turn donated them to our computer program.  We have been working over the summer to get them ready for distribution - and most are now just waiting for a new home!  What a huge impact this will be - having a smaller unit will make a big difference for so many families who have limited space for those big old desktop units.
  • 6/30/09 - Many thanks to Art Roman of The Kitchen Workshop in Paoli for hosting a cooking class dinner and donating the entire proceeds from that dinner to T&E Care - over $750.  We will be in turn donating these funds to REACT for the local food pantry.
  • 6/26/09 - Thanks to Cooper Mueller, a young resident in the community, who asked for grocery gift cards instead of presents for his recent 5 year birthday.   Cooper received over $200 in gift cards that will be shared with families needing extra help in these tough times.  Many thanks Cooper!!!!!
  • 6/23/08 - Many St. Lukes Church members (Devon) recently donated funds to T&E Care in lieu of end of year presents to staff members.  $700 in funds were collected!  Thank you SO much - what a tremendous help this will be in our efforts to help other families!
  • 6/21/09 - Thanks to Acme for a $1000 donation for the local REACT food pantry.  Instead of giving us permission to run a food drive outside the local stores this summer, they made this donation.  This will be a huge help to avoid the frequent summer slow-down in food donations at the food pantry.
  • 5/16/09 - Many thanks to the TESD staff members who gave up a few hours of their time on May 14 to walk 3 miles at Wilson Park to raise money for FLITE and T&E Care.  Special thanks to Deb Ciamacca (TEEA president) for helping to arrange the event!

  • 2/20/09 - Many thanks to Dave Dobbins of Dream Finishers - a local contractor who did some work for a local family - transforming a bathroom with some much-needed renovations.  He did a terrific job and donated much of his time for this project.  Thanks Dave!
  • 1/31/09 - Special thanks to Art Roman of The Kitchen Workshop (Paoli) and Shawn Maloney of Panera Bread (Gateway Shopping Center) for making our event today a success.  Art provided the ingredients for delicious soup, and Shawn brought over bread bowls for the soup.  Additionally Shawn brought a check for T&E Care for over $2500, collected at the restaurant since it opened in 2008.  Thanks to all those community members who joined us on this special day.
  • 1/9/09 - Special thanks to St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church in Devon for including T&E Care in their list of options for their Christmas 2008 "Gifts of Hope" program.  People were able to make donations directly to various organizations listed in the church's program in lieu of normal holiday gifts, we we really appreciated the support of those who made donations to T&E Care!  What a wonderful gesture at these special times.

  • 12/6/08 - Many thanks to Alan Epps of Epps Plumbing and Heating in Wayne.  We learned of a family with a plumbing issue and Alan was at the house within a day, made the repair, and never charged the family a dime.  The leak caused the family's water bill to skyrocket beyond their ability to pay - so this repair is a HUGE help to this family.  Alan's generosity can not be thanked enough! (Get a direct link to his business on our Grants/Supporters page)
  • 11/30/08 - Thanks AGAIN to Joe Tucker, Chesterbrook Allstate agent, for applying the the Allstate Foundation on our behalf and securing us a $500 grant.  As we find many people struggling this winter with heating bills, we will quickly find a use for these funds.  Thanks to Joe for his continued support of T&E Care.

  • 11/24/08 - Many thanks to C&J Automotive in Berwyn for giving an incredible rate to fix the car of a family who was struggling with finances.  In order to get over the financial problems the mom is trying to get a better job.  To get to interviews she needed her car, and it suddenly made some horrible noises.  C&J Automotive jumped in and fixed it fast and reasonably.
  • 11/5/8 - Many thanks to those who attended the Scare Up Some Care party held on Oct. 25 - it was a huge success and a fun way to support upcoming T&E Care projects!  Special thanks to Rita Seltzer and her committee of incredible volunteers for organizing the event! • 9/27/08 - Many thanks to the Sovereign Bank Foundation and to the Foundation for Learning In T/E (FLITE) for supporting us with recent donations.  The Sovereign Bank Foundation grant of $1000 went into our general treasury for support as we need it for families.  FLITE has offered financial support for our on-going desire to help get computers to families in this community.
  • 8/3/08 - A huge thank you to a local family that spent yesterday at the Paoli Acme running a bake sale to support T&E Care. Many thanks to all those who bought the yummy goods!
  • 8/3/08 - Many many thanks to the incredible response we had for the 2008 School Supply Drive. Not only did we get all the required supplies needed for 32 local kids, but additional cash and gift cards were donated that will help the families get clothing for those first days of school, and food so the kids can start the day with healthy breakfasts. What a terrific community we live in! Thanks so much!
  • 7/30/08 - Additional thanks to the families that supplied bed frames and air conditioners to the families needing these items.
  • 7/7/08 - Many thanks to those families who recently donated patio furniture/grill, kitchen chairs, and air conditioners, as well as clothes for a girl going to summer camp - the families were THRILLED!!!!!! They are enjoying the chance to sit outside when they can, or cool inside when it's hot out! And the smiles on the face of the girl getting those clothes - priceless! She can now go to camp (mom got a free scholarship!) and actually not stand out because all she had were old junky clothes.
  • 6/16/08 - Many thanks to another family that donated a car to a local family. The family receiving the car had an older car that required many many repairs, and the costs were prohibitive for this family. They are thrilled with their "new" car!
  • 6/5/08 - Thanks to Prudential Life Insurance for offering a grant to T&E Care to be used in the support of local families. Nan Turanski was the recipient of this grant in thanks for her many hours of work with T&E Care. Congrats Nan and thanks Prudential!
  • 6/1/08 - Thanks to all those who donated sporting good items to us to be used by Play It Again Sports during the recent drive. The event was a success and the new Paoli store will be open soon for the community's use!
  • 5/20/08 - Many thanks to Susan Randels and the staff of Polka Dots, a specialty clothing store in the Paoli Shopping Center, for organizing the recent week-long event to support T&E Care. It was a great way to get the word out about T&E Care and raise some extra money to help local families. Thanks to all those who stopped by the store during this week.
  • 5/1/08 - Many thanks to a local community member who donated a used car to one of our families. This family did have a car but it was truly on its last leg and was swallowing money faster than you could imagine. This family had no idea how they would afford a replacement, but the mom's job required a car for transportation. The day the car broke down we got the call offering a "new" car to us - another one of our community angels for sure!
  • 4/12/08 - Wow - the community really stepped up and the stores in Paoli were awesome. Many thanks to The Blue Tulip, Polka Dots, Chico's, Julie's Gold Ribbon, Terra Culture, Van Cleve Collection, Robinson's Luggage, Paoli Hardware, Talbots, Paoli Nails, and Gentlemen's Choice for participating in this event, and to all those community members who went shopping that day! A very special thanks to the TE North MOMS club for organizing this event on behalf of T&E Care!
  • 4/9/08 - An incredible thank you to the staff at Panera Bread in Gateway Shopping Center for hosting our "thank you to the community" dinner on April 5. This event was totally free for us - Panera Bread covered all costs related to this dinner as their way to give their staff practice before their official opening on April 7. The staff was so nice, and the food was delicious. Thanks to the over 200 people who attended as well. AND special thanks to those in attendance for their very generous donations (over $1200) that will be given to families effected by the recent apartment fire in Malvern. (Please note that Panera will have a donation box at their counter for T&E Care for the entire year - and they will match all donations with 25¢ for each $1. What a great way to increase your donations!)
  • 3/18/08 - A huge thanks to all those who attended the Good Sports benefit on March 15 (and thanks to those who could not attend but sent in donations anyway!). It was a great night out! Special thanks to the Good Sports committee who selected T&E Care to receive this special recognition!
  • 2/28/08 - in less than 24 hours after sending out the email we had multiple offers of washers for the one family in need. We also got our needed dryer and 2 chairs. Incredible response. Thanks to all! We still need a few other items - keep checking the website for other requests!
  • 2/20/08 - Many thanks to a few moms in the TE North MOMS Club for offering clothes to the twin girls in a local family needing support. The response was quick and thoughtful, and the girls are thrilled!
  • 2/12/08 - Without even sending out a blast email the community was able to provide furniture for 2 additional families that were refered to us in the past few weeks. What an incredible response to our website postings of needs. THANKS so much for so quickly helping these families gain comfort in their homes as they struggle to adjust to their new surroundings.
  • 1/21/08 - Many thanks to all those who helped a mom with 3 young kids and had almost no furniture! They now have a set of bunk beds, a double bed, lots of bedding, a desk and chair, a crib and high chair for the baby, a kitchen table and chairs, dishes and glasses, lamps, and all sorts of other items! Thanks to those who helped drive and deliver items as well. What a difference a day makes!
  • 1/2/08 - Thanks to those who helped out with last minute donations to the holiday drive, and to those who offered twin mattresses to help out families in need!
  • 12/19/07 - Many thanks to the many elves that came to Barnes and Noble to help wrap presents there, and to help spread the word about T&E Care. We received over $400 in donations during our day there, and handed out tons of brochures. We really appreciate all the help offered by those in the community!
  • 12/15/07 - Thanks to all who have responded to the recent holiday request drive. The response from the local community was overwhelming. Twenty-two local families will have much brighter holidays because of YOU. Thanks for your support!!!!!
  • 12/3/07 - Thanks to those who have recently donated some computers. We still have some families who could use a computer, but our list if getting shorter! Thanks also to some CHS students and some local community members who are helping to strip the computers and get them ready for the new families.

  • 11/11/07 - Thanks to all who helped provide items for the family moving here from a shelter. You should see the house - it looks fantastic! Furniture and household goods came from all over the community - but it blended together and turned this small house into a warm home. We got a computer as well to help the kids with school work. With this strong start, the family has hopes for a good future.
  • 10/17/07 - Thanks to those community members who were able to step up quickly to offer a crib and playpen to a local family in need. We were given just a fews days notice of this need due to an illness on the part of the child - and you responded (with multiple offers!) Super job!
  • 9/10/07 - Thanks to TEYSA for offering scholarships to some local kids who needed assistance in order to participate in soccer this fall. While soccer may seem like a luxury - being part of a team can be very important to a child whose family is struggling in other ways. TEYSA continues to be a wonderful organization for this community.
  • 9/4/07 - Thanks to TV Guide for donating a dozen computers that were distributed to local families with kids in the schools. These are critical to helping the kids complete required homework assignments.
  • 8/21/07 - MANY thanks to all those who donated school supplies, clothing, cash, and gift cards to the school supply/1st day outfit drive. We were able to totally fill the school supply list for all 31 local kids, and all those who requested new outfits either got a donation of clothes or gift cards. Some got both! We had over $1000 worth of gift cards for all sorts of local stores to distribute to about 25 kids (about $40/student). Imagine how much better they will feel heading off that first day with all their supplies and a new shirt and/or outfit! It could make a difference for their whole school year! Never think a donation of a $25 gift card is too small - they ALL add up!
  • 8/21/07 - Special thanks to Famous Footwear for donating a $50 gift card to one of our families. What a treat for one family to be able to get a new pair of shoes to start the school year!
  • 8/15/07 - Thanks also for the gas dryer for one of our families - we were glad to be able to help out that family!
  • 8/11/07 - Many thanks to Heather and her friends and family for baking all the yummy treats, and selling them at the Paoli Acme to raise money for T&E Care! The bake sale was very successful! The money will be used to help fill in holes on "needs list" for the School Supply/1st Day Outfit Drive. And the sale itself was a great way to get the word out to more of our neighbors about T&E Care.
  • 8/2/07 - Thanks to Allstate for the generous grant to T&E Care, and to Joe Tucker, Chesterbrook Allstate agent, for facilitating the grant. The money will be put to good use in the days ahead!
  • 7/19/07 - Thanks for the generous donations of food and gift cards recently received to help a family in need. What a difference a day makes when you have food to eat!

  • 6/1/07 - Thanks so much for the recent donations to help out local families - especially some computers and a large TV - the families REALLY appreciate your support!
  • 1/07 - Many thanks to those who have generously made donations to T&E Care. In the past few months we have used funds to provide support in the form of a few rent subsidies, we bought grocery gift cards for a family needing food, we paid for a parenting class for a mom, we paid for the carpet and some of the renovations in the "new" home for the family of 8 (discussed below) and we provided the funds needed for one mom to start a business from home so she could be with her kids. We could not offer this help without your support! YOUR neighbors are very grateful!!!!
  • 5/1/07 - An item here, an item there.... a refrigerator was donated to a family, a computer to another family, a couch and chairs to another family..... thanks for answering the calls for help when we get them!
  • 4/20/07 - Many thanks to the Saturday Club and the Tiffany-Kistler Foundation for awarding us a grants that we used in helping some local families. These grants were incredibly important sources of funding for some very needy situations. We are very thankful for them.
  • 4/15/07 - Many thanks to all those who offered items for the family of 8 moving to a "new" home in April. The move went exceptionally well - the home renovations were completed just in time for the furniture to be moved in. Thanks to those drivers who went around and collected items, and to those who made so many donations. Donations included a number of beds, a couch, living room chairs, 2 TVs, a dining room table and chairs and a hutch, appliances, end tables, night stands, a bookcase, TEN bedroom dressers, a desk, lamps, kitchen items, bedroom items, bathroom items, baby items, and much more. It continues to amaze us how well a house can come together with donations from so many different people. Needless to say, the family was overwhelmed and said thanks many many times!
