TAX FILING ASSISTANCE - The law requires everyone to file a tax return each year. To receive many state/county benefits, and to qualify for financial aid (for college costs) you must be able to show a tax return. You don't need to pay to get help doing this. Click here if you want to sign up for free tax assistance programs at your local libraries and other local sites offered in February through April each year. NOTE: These sessions fill up FAST so don't delay if you want the help. JOBS - If you would like information about local jobs or job fairs, how to write resumes, tips for interviews, and anything else job-related, click here.
HELPFUL RESOURCES - if you need help getting in touch with another agency or organization that might offer you assistance, then check here for a list of possible resources.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES - If you live in T/E and your child could use some help getting school supplies - then click here for the school supply request form. Please note that there is a deadline for this form - it is due by June 20 of each year. Late requests may receive basic supplies (if available) but no back packs and no gift cards. Families should pick up supplies starting in mid August at your child's school (main office). If you have more than one child then they are all usually sent to the school of your youngest child unless requested otherwise by you.
SUMMER CAMP ASSISTANCE - Does your child want to spend a week or two at summer camp? Has he/she never been able to go in the past because you can't afford the tuition and/or you can't provide the required transportation? Click here for information about our T&E Care Camp Assistance Program.
BUDGETING ASSISTANCE - Do you need to learn how to budget your money better? Volunteers can work with you to learn this very important skill. Click here for more information about this option, and to get tips on how to budget your money. We can work with young teens to adults. SCHOOL MEAL ASSISTANCE - T&E Care recognizes that some families make "just too much" money to qualify for federal free/reduced lunch program. Tredyffrin/Easttown School District families who have applied for free/reduced assistance and have been denied support - please click here and learn about the T&E Care program that could help you cover some of those lunch costs!
FOOD - Do you need help getting food? There is information about the local food pantries and other sources of food located here. "STUFF" ASSISTANCE - Do you have a need for something in your house? T&E Care is often offered very nice items of furniture or other household goods that we post on our website. We will give them to you free. Click here for that list of items. COLLEGE ASSISTANCE - if you have a high school student who needs help with various facets of getting into college (studying for the very important SAT tests, filling out FAFSA forms, applying for tuition/book assistance, etc.) - click here for information on various programs and links to help improve your chances of a successful college journey. We can start to work with you as early as your child's freshman year!
GET MENTORING HELP FOR KIDS - Does your child need a mentor? The Friend Fitness program at the UMLY might be just the thing - and it's free!
TIPS FOR SAVING MONEY ON UTILITY BILLS - Now and then we learn of tips that you can use to save money on your utility bills. We will post these here. Liheap information is here as well. DAYCARE and/or PRESCHOOL ASSISTANCE - if you have a young child that needs either preschool assistance, or before/after school daycare, or help with the morning/afternoon portion of the day for kindergarteners, then we might be able to help.
GED ASSISTANCE - if you never graduated from high school and need to get your GED, click here for information.
MUSIC INSTRUMENT RENTAL - if your child would like to be part of the school band or orchestra, click here to learn how you could get assistance with the costs related to renting an instrument. This is applicable for students in grades 3-12.
